Girls' Generation is a South Korean pop female group that has eight members formed by S.M. Entertainment - an independent Korean record label, talent agency, producer and publisher of music - in 2007. They're also known as SNSD (Sonyeo Sidae) which is their Korean name in abbreviated form.
